"As practice makes perfect, I cannot but make progress; each drawing one makes, each study one paints, is a step forward," - Letter from Vincent van Gogh to Theo van Gogh Drenthe, c. 29-15 Oct-Nov 1883
Why History ?
History is the stories of people who had shaped human events, movements and behaviour that has affected the present and will continue to affect the future. They have left artefacts, artwork, buildings and written/oral accounts as evidence of their existence and acknowledge that those past events did occur.
History allows us to study the behaviour of our ancestors and analyse their decisions so that we can learn how to be better than those who came before us.
History teaches all things, including the future.

Academically, her capabilities shone particularly in the modules I taught. In Theatre Production Practicum, she not only earned a Distinction but also naturally took on leadership roles, demonstrating a remarkable ability to unite her classmates and guide collaborative projects. What left the strongest impression on me, however, was her capacity for empathetic problem-solving, a skill that greatly enhanced the learning environment and outcomes of the class. Her academic rigour was formally recognised when she was placed on the Director’s Roll of Honour for Academic Year 2024, Semester 2.
