SECONDARY SCHOOL ARCHIVALS

A compilation of leadership, CCA Participation & Academic Awards & Recognition during my time in Juying Secondary School.

Sparks Day was a school-wide showcase where students were grouped to present their learning from the semester’s PASSION module. The PASSION module assigns students to different sectors such as Arts, STEM, and Health, where they develop a project centred on a specific theme. Over the semester, we conceptualised and executed our project before presenting and pitching our key message to a wider audience.

Following the success of our team’s pitch during Sparks Day, our project was selected as one of the few outstanding presentations to be showcased to external professionals. We had the opportunity to present to representatives from the Friend of Singa team and the school’s senior leadership, including the Head of Board at Juying Secondary School.

At the end of Secondary 1 in 2019, I was nominated by the teacher-in-charge to represent my cohort in presenting the PASSION module to external guests and prospective students at Juying Secondary School.

As the module was newly introduced to our cohort, I had the responsibility of explaining its purpose and value. I shared how the programme exposed students to real-world issues and helped build confidence in articulating ideas to their peers.
